Aluminum Foundry of Wisconsin LLC is an ISO 9001 certified nonferrous foundry, supplying high quality sand castings and specializing in aluminum, brass and bronze. We have the ability to manufacture castings complete-to-print and pride ourselves on our versatility of melt. In addition to green sand molding operations running squeezer and cope & drag lines we also feature a DISA automatic line and air set production.
Run sizes can range from 1 to 100,000 so we are set up to do short, medium, and long runs along with prototypes.
As a Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry we provide machining, nondestructive testing and other value-added services. For protection purposes, we have a separate on campus pattern storage building which is temperature controlled and features an alarm system.
Most diversified of molding methods. Process utilizes a mold made of compressed or compacted moist sand. Pattern costs and material cost relatively low. Adaptable to large or small quantities.
Three part chemically bonded sand providing high strength and a range of hot properties. Simplified sand mix with good flowability, uniform mold hardness throughout and exceptional dimensional control.
DISA 130 horizontal molding machine provides closer dimensional tolerances. Consistently uniform weight, better surface finish, increased productivity and lower cost. Reduced feed metal, improved casting soundness and reduced cleaning costs.
Our engineering and technical sales team processes the product development expertise and state of the art design, predictive and simulation tools to provide the total package in component design consultation.
Our engineers utilize 3-D and solid modeling with production software to ensure that component designs meet the criteria, while APQP product launch, process maps, failure mode effect analysis and control plans help in ensuring the design problems are eliminated allowing rapid product launches.
A wide series of both aluminum and bronze alloys are poured. Aluminum 200 series, 300 series, 500 series, 700 series and zinc bronze, aluminum bronze, magnesium bronze, tin bronze along with other unleaded alloys in this series.

Nitrogen and flux are used for cleaning of molten metal and removal of dross & metal impurities.
A wide range of controlled sand tests in both core and molding sands are performed to insure process control of sand properties for improved quality and productivity.
Our nondestructive testing analysis techniques include: X-Ray, Dye Pen, and Pressure Testing
Anytime new metal additions are made in the melting process, a sample is taken and tested in our Quality Assurance Lab ensuring proper chemistry and metallurgical specifications are met.
